We’ll cover a range of charcoal techniques, including:

Value Studies. Learn how to create depth and dimension by rendering light and shadow with varying shades of charcoal.

Texture. Explore techniques to depict the intricate textures of fern’s foliage, and highlighting by way of erasing, adding richness and realism to your drawings.

Blending and Smudging. Discover how to blend and smudge charcoal to achieve smooth transitions and soft vs hard edges.

A variety of reference images will be available for you to choose from, ensuring each drawingis a unique work of art.
