Soak up the fleeting beauty of springtime in Sydney

Inspired by purple jacaranda canopies, dandelions & seed pods dancing on the breeze, cheeky magpies among the blossoms and wildflower fields in full bloom.

All materials included. Beginner friendly. 

Learn new techniques and create a collection of beautiful artworks inspired by the season, within a cohesive series.

Explore watercolour, ink, charcoal, acrylic and mixed media, with a new creative focus each week.

Hosted in our private studio bar, for creative nights out.

Week 1: Windswept Wishes (Charcoal) 02.09
Inspired by dandelions, poppies, lunaria, echinacea & other garden flowers, releasing their delicate seeds into the spring breeze.
Explore charcoal drawing, tonal shading, soft blending, mark-making and delicate details.

Week 2: Magpies & Blooms (Ink) 09.09
Inspired by nesting season with Sydney’s magpies, the fearless protectors of their young; surrounded by native flowers and foliage.
Explore expressive black ink, bold contrast, delicate linework and loose botanical details.

Week 3: Jacaranda Dreams (Watercolour) 16.09
Inspired by Sydney’s iconic jacarandas in full spring bloom, painting their dreamy purple canopies and blossoms.
Explore watercolour washes combined with purple ink, wet-on-wet blending and glaze layering to capture these dreamy blooms.

Week 4: The Hope of It All (Acrylic) 23.09
Inspired by colourful spring flower fields, bursting with new life, light and possibility.
Explore acrylic painting techniques, colour mixing, layering, texture and loose expressive brushwork.

Week 5: Spring Reverie (Abstract, mixed media) 30.09
Time to get loose and flowy!
Inspired by the entire collection of spring imagery from the course..
Bringing jacarandas, magpies, wildflowers and windswept seeds together in one expressive abstract artwork.
Combine mixed media, colour, texture, mark-making and abstraction to create a final piece inspired by everything we’ve painted throughout the course.

Reference images and live demonstrations will guide you every step of the way, no experience needed.

You’ll leave with a striking collection of artworks and elevated artistic skills.
