Join us for 4 weeks of creative exploration at our mixed-media art course inspired by nocturnal worlds, held in a relaxed, private studio bar.

All materials included. Beginner friendly.

Learn to paint & draw with a new medium each week: charcoal, watercolour, ink, and acrylic.
Create an expressive, cohesive collection of artworks inspired by night-dwelling creatures, shadowed botanicals, and moonlit atmospheres.

Week 1: Charcoal Lunar Landscapes. Feb 4th

Explore light and shadow, contrast, and atmospheric mark-making to capture nocturnal landscapes. Learn foundational charcoal techniques and depict depth while embracing looseness and intuition.

Week 2: Watercolour Nocturnal Creatures. Feb 11th

Find your flow with watercolour, learning new techniques while painting creatures of the night.

You’ll be guided through layering, transparency, and controlled flow to bring nocturnal animals to life.

Week 3: Ink After Dark. Feb 18th.

Explore the fluidity and expressiveness of ink inspired by nocturnal insects in moonlit environments.

You’ll learn to paint with ink washes, as well drawing techniques with fine-line ink liners.  This session focuses on line, movement, and contrast as you experiment with washes, fine details, and organic forms to create bold yet atmospheric ink artworks.

Week 4: Acrylic Moonlit Florals. Feb 25th

Create luminous floral paintings bathed in moonlight using acrylic paint.

You’ll learn how to layer acrylics to build depth, glow, and contrast, capturing florals illuminated against dark, nocturnal backgrounds.
This final week brings together painting and drawing techniques, mood, and expressive colour to complete the course.

*You will be guided through every step of the way in our workshops.
Students all have a wide range of reference images available to choose from, assuring each work made is a unique work of art.

This course is perfect for beginners, as well as more experienced artists seeking to push boundaries with different mediums and concepts.
